If I have learned nothing else, it's that a person should work at whatever feeds their passion. Otherwise, you wind up very unhappy and will not stay with the job you are in. In fact, you may go through a number of jobs before you settle on one.
You do have to determine what you love yourself, though. No one else can make that choice for you, although they can give you an objective view of your talents, gifts, and passions - things you may not even realize yourself.
My "job" is my career right now because I am good at it, because I can teach others while I'm at work, and because it pays pretty well. See, it doesn't matter if you love to do research for medications or things like acnezine, or if you love to teach others, or if you love to build things, find work that involves what you love and you'll be more likely to make a long commitment to doing that job.
